Huawei’s Mate XT, the Chinese tech giant’s upcoming triple-fold smartphone, has seen pre-orders exceed two million units on the company’s official online retail platform, Vmall, since bookings began on Sep. 7. Despite the lack of pricing details, domestic consumer enthusiasm has driven a surge in reservations. Pre-orders on other online sales channels, such as JD.com and Alibaba’s Tmall, are also open for customers, though specific figures for these platforms are not yet available. Last Monday, Huawei announced that it would launch its triple-foldable phone on Sep. 10, the same day (Beijing time) as Apple’s iPhone 16 series launch. [TechNode reporting]
