New IGEL program and new SDK enable IGEL Ready partners to more quickly develop new applications for the IGEL App Portal, which now has 50 solutions
‘s Hertogenbosch, May 6, 2024 – IGEL, provider of a secure and future-proof operating system for endpoints, announced on April 30 during IGEL DISRUPT 24 the launch of a new program for developers of IGEL applications and an associated software development toolkit (SDK). This program enables participating software vendors to more quickly develop new and validated applications for organizations using the IGEL OS. The software solutions they have developed based on the new program and with the new SDK will be added to the fast-growing IGEL App Portal. This now offers organizations access to no fewer than 50 tested and approved applications for use in IGEL environments. The IGEL App Portal also offers them fast and flexible access to new functionalities and updates.
“The IGEL App Portal was only introduced a year ago, but has quickly become a reliable source of tested and approved applications from IGEL Ready technology partners,” said Divya Saggar, Director of IGEL Ready at IGEL. “The active use of this portal requires a structured and proven development methodology that accelerates the development and validation of applications. IGEL addresses this need with the extensive new IGEL Ready Developer Program and an SDK that enables rapid development of applications for endpoints running the IGEL OS.”
The recently launched IGEL Ready Developer Program enables independent software vendors participating in IGEL’s partner program to smoothly package, publish and promote their IGEL applications. By adding their application to the IGEL App Portal, they not only attract the attention of thousands of IGEL customers and channel partners, but also offer organizations an easy way to deploy their application directly into their IGEL environment.
Program participants will have access to IGEL’s new SDK and technical resources, such as tools and blueprints that allow developers to develop applications faster, at scale and with more precision for organizations using IGEL’s OS. IGEL Ready partners participating in the IGEL Ready Software Developer Program gain access to a special portal with programming tools that allow them to easily develop new applications for IGEL users. They can also rely on various options for joint marketing with IGEL.
“Liquidware has been an IGEL Ready partner for many years. We were the first to offer a digital employee experience (DEX) solution through the GEL App Portal. We have been impressed with the interaction with customers and partners that has resulted from our participation in this dynamic marketplace for end user computing applications,” said David Bieneman, CEO of Liquidware. “We fully support the IGEL Ready community that IGEL has built and have nothing but praise for the work it has put into its new IGEL Ready Developer Program and the SDK. These help software suppliers to market their applications faster. And their customers benefit from a faster time-to-value.”
The IGEL App Portal is an essential cloud service for purchasing applications for organizations using the IGEL OS.
