As AI-powered development becomes more widespread, teams face new challenges. Code is created more quickly, sometimes comes from automated systems and is not always completely comprehensible. betterCode() Testing 2026 addresses these changes and shows the role testing, test automation and human expertise play in modern development processes. The event is aimed particularly at testers, test managers, test automation specialists and quality engineers.

A look at the program

The organizers, together with the test expert and podcaster Richard Seidl as an advisory board, put together the program with six lectures and a panel discussion:

  • Richard Seidl: No more quality theater – what testing really needs in the AI age
  • Maud Schlich: Use exploratory testing smartly
  • Benjamin Hummel: Copilots for Agents: Quality Assurance in the Era of Coding Agents
  • Dehla Sokenou: Let’s play! Gamification and quality assurance – a perfect match
  • Florian Fever: Collaborative Intelligence: Human Testers in the Age of AI
  • Richard Seidl (Panel-Moderation): This is how test automation works in practice – really?

In-depth workshops in June

In addition to the conference day, there are several online workshops in which participants can practice individual topics more intensively in practice:

  • Teststrategie reloaded with Richard Seidl (June 12, 2026, half day)
  • Here’s how: Use exploratory testing smartly with Maud Schlich (June 18, 2026, all day)
