According to a Reuters report citing two people familiar with the matter, US memory chipmaker Micron Technology plans to stop supplying server chips to data centers in China. The move comes after the company failed to recover from a 2023 Chinese government ban on the use of its products in key infrastructure. Sources said Micron will continue to sell products to two Chinese clients with major data center operations outside the country, one of which is laptop maker Lenovo. The company will also maintain chip sales to Chinese customers in non-infrastructure sectors such as smartphones and automobiles. [Icsmart, in Chinese]
