ZTE expanded its AI hardware lineup at the 2026 Mobile World Congress (MWC) with the launch of iMoochi, a new AI-powered companion device. Designed for users of all ages, the device is built to simulate lifelike behaviors and adjust its interaction patterns based on user engagement.

Available in four distinct models, iMoochi utilizes touch sensors and voice recognition to respond to physical interaction and voice commands. It reacts with mechanical movements such as shaking its head or wagging its tail and communicates using a customized audio language. The device can simulate states such as hunger, temperature sensitivity, and play behavior, which can be tracked via a companion mobile app.

Alongside the AI companion device, ZTE also showcased the Nubia M153 smartphone. Co-developed with ByteDance, the device features system-level integration with the Doubao AI assistant, enabling users to execute complex cross-app voice commands. [TechNode reporting]
