NVIDIA has committedalong with Booz Allen, BT Group, Cisco, Deutsche Telekom, Ericsson, MITRE, Nokiathe OCUDU Ecosystem Foundation, ODC, SK Telecom, SoftBank Corp. y T–Mobile; a build the world’s next generation of wireless networks on open AI-native platforms.

This initiative represents a shared commitment to ensure that 6G infrastructure is open, intelligent and resilient, and that it accelerates innovation. 6G wireless networks will become the fabric of physical AI, enabling billions of autonomous machines, vehicles, sensors and robots. It will also increase demands for security and trust.

Legacy wireless architectures were not designed to meet these requirements, which opens up challenges as network complexity grows. To address this, NVIDIA is working to bring industry members together to promote AI-native and software-defined wireless platforms based on open and trusted principles.

By integrating AI across the RAN, edge and core, 6G networks should enable integrated, secure sensing and communications, intelligence and decision-making, while supporting interoperability, supply chain resilience and faster innovation.

6G will be AI native and software defined. 6G networks, based on the AI-RAN architecture, will continually evolve through software, allowing for real-time intelligence, among other things. This change opens the door to a diverse ecosystem of participants, from global operators and technology providers to startups, researchers and developers, all collaborating through open and programmable platforms.

Jensen Huang, CEO of NVIDIAhas highlighted that «the AI is redefining computing and driving the largest infrastructure build in human history, and telecommunications is next. Together with a global coalition of industry leaders, NVIDIA is creating AI-RAN to transform the world’s telecommunications networks into an AI infrastructure everywhere«.

Hideyuki Tsukuda, Vice President and Chief Technology Officer of SoftBank, has assured that “eNative 6G will transform wireless networks into a secure, software-defined infrastructure that will support the next wave of global innovation. SoftBank Corp. is driving this innovation together with NVIDIA by advancing open, trusted platforms that enable interoperability, resilience and continuous evolution at scale.«.
