Meeting-Formen

Created in Mexico in 2012, Fuckup Nights (“Fuck up”, in German “mishap”) are intended to establish a constructive culture of error. The goal is to admit your own failure and pass on your experiences to others.

Agile Coffee is a structured, mostly informal meeting without a predetermined agenda that is based on democratic topic identification. The format is based on the “Lean Coffee” concept developed by Jim Benson and Jeremy Lightsmith. The idea behind it: hold meetings that offer added value for all participants and encourage active participation, without unnecessary baggage.

In sports, the team comes together in a “huddle” to strengthen team spirit before the game or during the break or to discuss the next moves. Team huddles are intended to transfer this practice to companies. Team huddles are intended to briefly and specifically discuss the most important things for day-to-day business. The aim is to discuss the status and priorities of ongoing or upcoming activities in the team and to identify problems early.

A brown bag session is an event where participants are informed or educated while they eat. The setting is usually informal. Since the meetings often take place during (lunch) breaks, participation is usually voluntary.

A work meeting outside of the usual work environment – that is roughly what an offsite meeting means. The goal is to bring team members together in an environment outside of the home office or office.

In a corporate context, a town hall meeting, also known as an all hands meeting, is a meeting for all employees initiated by management. The main purpose of a town hall meeting is for management to answer questions from the workforce.
