Samsung has officially set the date for its first Galaxy Unpacked event of 2026. All signs point to the debut of the Galaxy S26 lineup.

The event takes place on February 25 at 10AM PT / 1PM ET / 6PM BST, live-streamed from San Francisco. While Samsung’s invite only promises its “latest Galaxy innovations,” the company’s early-year Unpacked events traditionally focus on its flagship Galaxy S series. Therefore, the S26, S26 Plus and S26 Ultra are the likely stars of the show.

If you’re hoping for new foldables, you’ll probably have to wait. Samsung typically saves Galaxy Z Fold and Z Flip announcements for summer. The Z TriFold only just began shipping in the US in January.

Samsung is once again letting customers pre-reserve the next Galaxy device ahead of launch. It’s free to sign up and doesn’t require payment details. However, doing so secures a $30 credit toward a purchase and enters you into a draw for a $5,000 Samsung gift card.

There’s also up to $900 in trade-in credit, depending on your device. Additionally, Samsung is offering an extra $150 credit without trade-in for those who order directly. While the upfront bonus is smaller than previous years, the combined incentives could make upgrading more appealing.

Samsung’s teaser image prominently features the Galaxy AI logo, emerging from a prism-like cube. The short animation released alongside the invite reinforces that AI will play a central role in the S26 launch.

What to expect?

On the hardware side, the S26 range is expected to feature a new processor – likely a next-generation Snapdragon for Galaxy chip. There will also be iterative refinements to the design seen on the Galaxy S25 series. One rumoured addition is a new privacy mode on the Galaxy S26 Ultra, allowing users to quickly toggle screen privacy when viewing sensitive information in public.

We won’t have to wait long for confirmation. With Unpacked now just weeks away, Samsung’s next flagship refresh is nearly here. If you’re planning to upgrade, it may be worth getting your pre-reservation in early.
