Bytedance’s Dreamina Seedance 2.0 video generator has just been integrated into TikTok, allowing select users to create ultra-realistic videos with AI.
Recently, Dreamina Seedance 2.0 video generator from Bytedance (TikTok) was integrated into CapCut. Users can now generate videos, photos or even edit using AI, directly on the editing software. And like TikTok et CapCut are directly linked, Dreamina Seedance 2.0 is now arriving on the Chinese video sharing platform.
Dreamina Seedance 2.0 impresses with photorealistic images
For now, Dreamina Seedance 2.0 is only available on TikTok via the Symphony Creative Studio suite. This is a paid feature used mainly by professionals and advertisers. We do not yet know if an opening to all TikTok users will happen soon. Regardless, the performance of this video generator are simply impressive. Users can turn a prompt into a video or move a simple image. According to Bytedance, this AI can generate in a few hours an advertisement which would previously have required several weeks of work. As we can see below, the videos generated by this AI are particularly impressively realistic.
Today we are rolling out Dreamina Seedance 2.0 in the U.S.

As a reminder, this type of artificial intelligence is based on an astronomical quantity of data, particularly from films, series and works of all kinds, to generate images. In other words, AI doesn’t actually create anything: it just recycles and mixes existing elements.
Hollywood fears the worst
Hollywood is starting to seriously worry about this type of technology. On the one hand, AI plunders works protected by copyright. On the other hand, she manages to produce Hollywood sequences on the basis of a few requests, and all this with a paltry budget.
Last February, when Seedance 2.0 was released, Disney sent a letter of formal notice to Bytedance, accusing the Chinese company of providing its AI with “ pirated library » and having violated several of its intellectual properties, notably those of Star Wars and Marvel. Bytedance then promised to put in place measures to strengthen the protection of intellectual property on its technology and to avoid “ unauthorized use of intellectual property and image by users “. For its part, Netflix also sent a formal notice, calling Seedance 2.0 “ high-speed piracy engine, generating massive amounts of unauthorized derivative works using Netflix’s iconic characters, universes and storylines “. More generally, it is a large part of the world of cinema which denounces looting carried out by artificial intelligence.
It now remains to be seen whether Dreamina Seedance 2.0 will soon be open to all TikTok users. Photorealistic images generated by AI may raise serious concerns in terms of the spread of false information. It also remains to be seen whether TikTok users will not at some point demonstrate a rejection of AI. The Chinese platform introduced a slider to limit the amount of AI-generated content in the “For you” tab. Furthermore, content that appears “authentic” is often the one that works best on the platform, and we now know the disastrous fate of the Sora video generator.
