A phone that launched weeks ago dropping $200 in price is not something you see often, and for a flagship this capable, that gap between RRP and sale price is genuinely difficult to ignore.

That saving lands on one of the more capable phones Samsung has ever made, with the Galaxy S26 Ultra now down from $1,299.99 to $1,099.99 at Amazon.

Samsung’s Galaxy S26 Ultra is already $200 off and it’s barely been on shelves for a month

Just weeks after launch, the Galaxy S26 Ultra has already shed $200, marking one of the earliest price cuts we’ve seen on a Samsung mobile.

The headline spec here is the camera system, which is where Samsung has historically separated the Ultra from the rest of the Galaxy range, and the S26 Ultra continues that tradition with a quad-rear setup headlined by a 200MP main sensor alongside 50MP, 12MP, and 10MP lenses.

That 200MP sensor is not just a number to impress in a spec sheet — it gives the phone enough resolving power to crop hard into a shot and still retain detail that most cameras at this price would lose entirely.

Samsung’s Nightography processing also works alongside that hardware to keep footage and stills clean in low-light environments, meaning concerts, city streets after dark, and poorly lit venues become far more manageable shooting conditions than they would be on most rivals.

The 6.9-inch AMOLED display runs at 120Hz and includes a built-in privacy screen that automatically obscures the display from anyone besides you, which is a genuinely useful feature for commuters and anyone who handles sensitive information on their phone regularly.

Galaxy AI sits across the software experience, offering contextual suggestions through Now Nudge and photo editing tools via Photo Assist that let you add, remove, or restyle elements in an image directly from the gallery app without needing a third-party editor.

The S26 Ultra ships with Android 16 and One UI 8.5 out of the box, has a 5,000mAh battery with Super Fast Charging 3.0 support, and comes unlocked for all carriers in Sky Blue with 256GB of onboard storage and 12GB of RAM.

This deal suits anyone who has been waiting for the S26 Ultra to show any sign of movement on price, because a $200 drop this early in a flagship’s lifecycle is not a pattern that tends to repeat itself quickly once it corrects.

The Galaxy S26 Ultra is a classic Samsung “safe” upgrade; not that exciting, but undeniably still polished. It’s thinner, lighter, and the 6.9-inch screen continues to be the star of the show, this time boosted by unique privacy mode tech. However, the cameras – while still great in day-to-day use – are starting to lag behind the competition, and battery life could be better. It’s still a fantastic all-rounder, but not the automatic go-to option at the top-end of the market that it once was.

  • Privacy screen tech is genuinely impressive

  • Lighter and thinner than before

  • Great performance

  • New Galaxy AI smarts

  • Very familiar camera hardware

  • Battery life isn’t the best around

  • No magnetic Qi2 charging
