Xiaomi has distinguished itself in a good way with the new Poco M8, a mid-range smartphone unveiled at CES 2026. It has everything a device of this type needs: a large AMOLED screen with a definition of 1.5 K, a 6,500 mAh battery and a nice Snapdragon 7s Gen 4. The more powerful Poco M8 Pro 5G is even available at a reduced Price on AliExpress at the moment.
Obviously, Xiaomi does not intend to leave fans of powerful smartphones behind. The Chinese manufacturer presents the POCO X8 Pro et POCO X8 Pro Max.

Xiaomi unveils the POCO X8 Pro and POCO X8 Pro Max, two new high-performance smartphones sold at very modest prices. The POCO X8 Pro Max features nothing more and nothing less than the largest battery ever delivered by POCO, with capacity of 8,500 mAh. Xiaomi promises up to 48 hours of battery life on a single charge.
This very generous battery is also distinguished by its longevity; it retains more than 80% of its capacity even after 1,600 charge cyclesaccording to the manufacturer. The 6,500 mAh battery of the POCO X8 Pro, without being as efficient as that of the X8 Pro Max, remains more than solid.
Both devices are equipped with a 6.83 inch 1.5K large screen offering a maximum brightness of 3,500 nits on 25% of the screen. The refresh rate reaches 120 Hz like on most premium smartphones.
The Poco X8 Pro Max promises impressive performance thanks to its processeur Dimensity 9500s de MediaTek based on a 2nd generation 3nm manufacturing process. The maximum clock speed reaching 3.73 GHz is able to improve the energy efficiency of the chip. The smartphone supports 9600 Mbps LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.1 storage. The Poco X8 Pro is limited to one Dimensity 8500-Ultra, still capable of supporting ray tracing.
Both models in the series feature a 50 MP main lens and a 20 MP front camera. « The POCO X8 Pro Max relies on the Light Fusion 600 sensor, while the POCO X8 Pro is equipped with the Sony IMX882 », Indicates Xiaomi.
The Poxo X8 Pro is available in Black, White and Green. The cheapest version (8 GB + 256 GB storage) is available for €399.90 with a introductory price of €309.90 until March 31, 2026. The 8 GB + 512 GB version costs €339.90 until March 31 before increasing to €449.90.
The POCO X8 Pro Max in Black, White and Blue with 12 GB + 256 GB storage costs €429.90 until March 31 then €529.90. The 12 GB + 512 GB version is available at introductory price of €469.90 until March 31 before increasing to €579.90.
