The Disneyland Paris resort is finally receiving what it has long deserved. On March 29, 2026, Walt Disney Studios officially changed its name to Disney Adventure World, culminating in the opening of World of Frozen which, as its name suggests, is entirely dedicated to Frozen. Guests can discover all the new features that we have discovered, including a Frozen Ever After, an attraction which consists of a boat ride in the company of Anna, Elsa and the iconic characters from the frozen franchise.

Disneyland does not intend to stop there and two unique projects in the world are already well under way.

The first attraction in the world dedicated to Là-Haut

This is a world first, and it will take place in Paris. Guests will be able to spin through the air aboard flying chairs, with a panoramic view of the surrounding Adventure Way. Well, even if we fear an attraction that is closer to the funfair than to Disney standards, at least an attraction inspired by this film has never come to life elsewhere.

The attraction will be located in front of Rapunzel Tangled Spin on Adventure Waywith a targeted opening in 2027. In terms of atmosphere, you can expect an Art Deco style with touches reminiscent of the film, surrounded by a thematic garden dedicated to the world of Carl and Russell. The work started at the end of 2025, and it is progressing little by little even if no exact date has been set yet.

This is the most ambitious project, by far. Disneyland Paris will build the world’s first immersive zone dedicated to The Lion King, with a spectacular log as its centerpiecea first for the French park. The route will retrace the story of Simba from his childhood to his coronation with a bunch of animatronics, in the style of what is done across the Atlantic with the attraction Tiana’s Bayou Adventure.

The Rock of the Lions will peak at 37 meters, with 3 falls including an exterior one of 16 meters, all with 19 immersive scenes. The attraction building will be the largest ever built at Disneyland Paris, bigger even than Pirates of the Caribbean. Double boarding and a single rider line are planned to absorb the flow of visitors. For those who fear returning home soaked in the Parisian weather, which is not particularly known for being lenient, rest assured: Imagineers planned to make the splash level adjustable, taking into account the local climate. Practical.

The area, called Land of Lions, will extend over 30,000 m² with settings inspired by the African savannah, character meetings, themed catering and a shop. The opening is expected between 2028 and 2030, which still leaves time to enjoy the new features of Arendelle.

At the end of its expansion plan, Disneyland Paris will have reimagined more than 90% of the park’s offerings since its opening in 2002 and almost doubled its surface area. All supported by an investment of 2 billion euros announced in 2018, which confirms the resort’s ambition to remain the leading leisure destination in Europe for years to come.
