A Tremendous T-Mobile Deal: Snag a Free iPhone 17 With a New Contract

Selecting a new phone can be stressful, especially when prices often hit the four-figure mark for top devices. While our experts work hard to give you in-depth reviews that dive deep into each model from all the leading brands, there’s only so much they can do to save you money. But that’s where PCMag Deals and providers come in. While trade-ins are the most common way to get a new phone at a discount, every once in a while, a carrier will break out a big deal that doesn’t require one. Right now, T-Mobile is offering a brand-new iPhone 17 for absolutely nothing (zip, zilch, nada) as long as you transfer your number from another carrier.

Apple iPhone 17

6.3-inch screen, Apple A19 CPU, 5G, 512GB storage

Released at the end of 2025, the iPhone 17 represented Apple’s most notable pivot into AI yet, with Apple Intelligence woven through every aspect of the phone. In our review, we gave it an Editors’ Choice award and an “Outstanding” rating, raving about its stellar display, elegant design, sturdy build and powerful performance. This baseline 17 has the exact same screen as the 17 Pro, a gorgeous 2,622-by-1,206 pixel OLED with a massive peak brightness of 3,000 nits, and its color balance and contrast are exceptional. The new ProMotion tech gives it a variable refresh rate up to 120Hz.

Under the hood, you get the peppy A19 processor with a stand-alone neural processing unit powering Apple Intelligence features like live translation, searching by images taken from your camera, and more. Tons of RAM and storage round out the package to make an all-around winner.

Here’s the fine print: to snag an iPhone 17 for absolutely nothing, you need to be a new T-Mobile customer transferring your number from another carrier, and you need to sign up for a new Experience Beyond or Better Value plan ($170 or $140 a month, respectively). With either, you get a five-year price guarantee, unlimited premium data access, free Netflix Standard and Hulu, unlimited mobile hotspot, and many more features. The phone payback comes in the form of 24 bill credits over the next two years.

If you’re dissatisfied with both your existing phone and your service provider, this is a can’t-miss opportunity to change both. T-Mobile’s great, the iPhone 17 is great, and you deserve great. Hop on this deal before it expires.
