Pre-orders have been open since February 25, 2026, with in-store availability starting March 11. The Galaxy Book6 range starts at 1,549 euros for the basic version. The 16-inch Pro tested here is available from 1,899 euros, with the Core Ultra X7 358H configuration at 2,399 euros. For the Ultra with dedicated NVIDIA GeForce RTX GPU (5060 or 5070), you will have to pay a minimum of 3,599 euros.

An even thinner design than the MacBook Air

Samsung has revised the copy on the design of this new generation. The 16-inch Galaxy Book6 Pro weighs only 1.59 kg and is 11.9 mm thick. It’s even thinner than the MacBook Air M4, which is pretty crazy for a machine of this power. The all-aluminum chassis exudes solidity, with a well-designed lid opening mechanism and a high-end finish that truly inspires confidence over time.

Another notable change is that Samsung has removed the numeric keypad on this 16-inch model to center the keyboard surrounded by upward-facing speaker grills on each side. A choice that improves general typing ergonomics. On the other hand, the keyboard offers a typing that seems a little hollow, which is rather a shame for a machine at this price.

On the connectivity side, there are two Thunderbolt 4 ports, an HDMI, a USB-A and a jack socket. Obviously, the finesse of the Book6 Pro that we tested requires compromises, hence the connectivity rather limited here.

The fingerprint reader integrated into the power button is a really good idea for getting rid of passwords on a daily basis.

A breathtaking AMOLED screen

This is clearly the strong point of this machine. The 16-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2x panel has a resolution of 2,880 X 1,800 pixels with a refresh rate of 120 Hz. In terms of brightness, no problem using it outdoors.

Color accuracy is also on point, which will satisfy even the most demanding creative professionals. And yes, the screen is touchscreen on top of that.

In my opinion, the automatic colorimetric mode activated by default tends a little too much towards blue and cold. Better to go to the Samsung settings and choose the “vibrant” profile by slightly warming up the white balance for a result that seems more natural to me. Once this option is chosen, we rediscover certain film scenes enhanced by the screen.

Power level and autonomy

The Galaxy Book6 Pro features the all-new Intel Core Ultra Series 3 processors, including the Core Ultra X7 358H tested here. This 16-core processor clocked at up to 5.1 GHz is produced in 2nm engraving, a world first for a laptop processor. It also integrates a 12-core Intel Arc B390 GPU and an NPU capable of 50 TOPs for AI tasks.

In practice, this translates into solid performance on creative tasks and intensive multitasking. And for those who want a little game, the integrated GPU absolutely did not balk at Overwatch in Ultra at 60 FPS and those in the native resolution of the screen.

Thermal management has also been taken care of, the heat is concentrated at the back of the machine, far from the keyboard and wrist rests, for optimal comfort of use even during prolonged sessions.

The other big surprise of this Galaxy Book6 Pro is its battery. With its capacity of 78 Wh, the machine has no problem lasting 2 days with 8 hours of office work per day, with screen brightness at 50%.. It is one of the most durable PCs ever in our hands and an ideal companion for teleworking. However, we will regret the fact that McAfee is pre-installed.
