Batter Up: T-Mobile's Free MLB.TV Offer Is Back in Time for Opening Day

Major League Baseball‘s 2026 season begins next week (Wednesday, March 25, to be exact), and T-Mobile is once again coming through with one of its most popular perks: a free one-year subscription to MLB.TV, the organization’s official streaming platform for all things baseball. You can claim the benefit through the T-Life app beginning Tuesday, March 24, at 5 a.m. ET and until 4:59 a.m. ET on Tuesday, March 31.

The complimentary subscription, valued at $150, applies only to out-of-market regular-season games. Meaning, if you want to catch your favorite local team play, you’ll need to watch those games elsewhere. However, it’s worth noting that you can listen to live audio of all MLB games with this deal.

In related news, MLB is offering in-market streaming for over 20 teams this year. However, that feature is not included with T-Mobile MLB.TV freebie.

This baseball season will also introduce the Automated Ball Strike (ABS) system, powered by T-Mobile’s 5G network. The ABS system will officially debut on Opening Night, when the Giants play the Yankees in Netflix’s first-ever live MLB game. The new system, which has been used in the Minor Leagues since 2022, allows players to challenge umpire home-plate calls. The goal is to ensure the right calls are made.

To take advantage of T-Mobile’s yearly baseball perk, you’ll need to be a subscriber of an eligible plan, which includes T-Mobile, Metro by T-Mobile, 5G Home Internet, Fiber or Small Business services.
