Over the course of March there was much progress made on the ARM64 port of Haiku OS, the open-source operating system serving as the spiritual successor to BeOS.

A variety of improvements were made to the ARM64 code for Haiku OS , including fixes for building on macOS on ARM64. Plus new driver work and more. Ultimately, HaikuOS can now boot on ARM64 but so far that is being done under QEMU. Real hardware support is ongoing but at least Haiku OS can be brought up under QEMU virtualization on ARM64.
