DJI said it is disappointed by a decision by the US Federal Communications Commission (FCC) to place all non-US-made drones on a “covered list,” warning that the move limits choice for American consumers and commercial users and undermines principles of an open and fair market. The world’s largest civilian drone maker’s products are widely used in agriculture, firefighting, surveying and mapping, and other critical sectors, where they play an indispensable role in improving efficiency and enhancing public safety. DJI said that the security and reliability of its products have been validated by global markets and authoritative third-party institutions, and said it will evaluate all available options to firmly safeguard the legitimate rights and interests of the company and its users worldwide.
