The Chinese chipmaker MediaTek on Monday unveiled its Dimensity 9500 flagship processor, built on the third-generation 3nm process with a full big-core architecture. The prime core reaches 4.21GHz and the chip integrates 16MB of L3 cache. GeekBench results show the Dimensity 9500 achieves a single-core score of 4007 and a multi-core score of 11217, marking the first time an Android chip matches Apple’s latest A19 Pro (iPhone 17 series) in single-core performance (4019). The GPU delivers a 33% performance boost with 42% lower power consumption, while a dual-NPU setup doubles AI computing power, according to MediaTek. The first devices powered by the Dimensity 9500, including the Vivo X300 series and Oppo Find X9 series, will launch in the fourth quarter. [MediaTek, in Chinese]
