Nutanix has launched its agentic AI platform Agentic AIa comprehensive solution designed to facilitate the adoption of Artificial Intelligence agents in the company. The platform is integrated for it con NVIDIA AI Enterprisein the Agent Builder layer, and orchestrates the ecosystem of NVIDIA-certified AI factories in supported configurations.
In this way, companies can build, run and secure agentic AI applications in dynamic, multi-tenant environments, combining advanced infrastructure security and orchestration capabilities with platform services (PaaS) and models as a service (MaaS) for data scientists and developers.
NVIDIA and Nutanix are also collaborating to lay the foundation for autonomous agents in the enterprise through the integration of the Nutanix platform with the NVIDIA Agent Toolkit, which includes the open source NVIDIA OpenShell runtime environment.
Nutanix Agentic AI is designed to offer less complexity in operations, optimize performance and security, and lower costs per token. The solution includes agentic AI services and Kubernetes platform, with a Kubernetes-native and AI PaaS-based software layer that integrates advanced AI Gateway and as-a-service model.
The latest version of Nutanix Enterprise AI, NAI 2.6, incorporates an AI Gateway service that allows unified policies to be applied to LLMs hosted in the cloud or in private environments. Additionally, it supports the Model Context Protocol, extending its model-as-a-service capabilities so agents can securely connect to enterprise tools and data sources.
NAI now supports the NVIDIA Nemotron family of open source AI models, as well as datasets and training tools designed to facilitate the creation of agentic AI systems capable of reasoning, securely accessing tools, and completing complex tasks autonomously.
These services also include an open Kubernetes platform with a catalog of open source tools for AI developers. Thanks to its integration with NVIDIA AI Enterprise, developers can deploy NVIDIA NIMs, including Nemotron models, and accelerate the development of high-performance AI applications.
The Nutanix AHV hypervisor can automate the allocation of physical resources to virtual machines on servers with high GPU density. In addition, Nutanix Flow Virtual Networking allows you to offload the network data plane to NVIDIA BlueField, offering high-performance networks and reducing host CPU and memory consumption. These capabilities bring the benefits of virtual machines to agentic AI workloads, helping to reduce the cost per token.
Nutanix Unified Storage, based on NVIDIA’s AI data platform, delivers linearly scalable read and write performance for thousands of GPU clients. By incorporating a high capacity layer for KV Cache offloading or support for S3 over RDMS and NFS over RDMS; Nutanix delivers a scalable, low-latency data fabric that increases GPU efficiency in AI workloads.
The solution Nutanix Agentic AI enables accelerated adoption of agentic AI through NVIDIA-certified AI factories. Thus, companies can deploy these factories on Cisco, Dell or Supermicro infrastructure, jointly validated by Nutanix and NVIDIA.
