A new interactive data project from sheets.works lets you scroll through every iPhone model ever released, complete with tech specs, colors, and even a timeline of hardware features Apple removed from the device over the years. Check it out below.

’19 years, 52 models’

Every week, the good folks at sheets.works release what they call The Data Drop, featuring beautifully made interactive infographics covering space exploration, geopolitics, gaming, cinema, sports, and more.

Recently, they released the Every iPhone Ever Made interactive timeline, detailing all 52 iPhone models Apple released over the course of 19 years.

The timeline is divided into sections, starting with a full lineup of every iPhone ever released, displayed side by side at proportional size, each with its original wallpaper, name, size, and year of release.

Next, they pick out 11 moments that defined multiple generations, including the introduction of the Retina display, the debut of the 5.5” iPhone 6 Plus, and the release of the iPhone X.

One interesting interactive graph shows the price evolution of the base and the most expensive models by year, followed by “The Graveyard,” which lists hardware features Apple has removed over the years, including the 30-pin connector, the headphone jack, and 3D Touch.

Finally, they showcase every color for every iPhone model ever released, then display individual cards for each model, with tech specs such as screen size, battery capacity, processor, camera, and more.

Regardless of whether you’ve been following the iPhone’s evolution from the start or only joined in over the past few years, the website is sure to take you back.

And while you’re in the nostalgic mood, be sure to check out 9to5Mac’s own Dylan McDonald’s “Every iPod Color” post from 2023.

In it, he compiled an impressively thorough catalog of every color name for every iPod Apple ever released, as part of his quest to actually own each and every one of them.

Do you have a favorite iPhone or iPod model? Let us know in the comments.
