Apple confirmed today that it will present three studies at the ACM Human-Computer Interaction Conference 2026 later this month, including work on AI-powered UI generation, accessibility, and the research behind the redesign of the AirPods Pro 3. Here are the details.

Apple said today on its Machine Learning Research blog that it will participate in the ACM Human-Computer Interaction Conference (CHI) 2026, which runs from April 13 to 17 in Barcelona, Spain.

In the event, Apple will present three studies, in addition to hosting a demo session, “spotlighting the human-centered research behind the redesigned fit of the AirPods Pro 3.

Here are the three papers that Apple researchers will present at the event:

During the event, Apple will also hold four hands-on demos of the AirPods Pro 3, highlighting “the human-centered research behind its redesigned fit”:

Backed by analysis of over 10,000 3D ear scans and more than 100,000 hours of user research spanning Human Factors, Biomechanics, Acoustics, and Industrial Design, the demo invites participants to experience the improved fit, acoustic seal, and Active Noise Cancellation firsthand. The goal is to spark conversation about what it truly means to design wearables that can accommodate the full diversity of human anatomy.

Demos are scheduled for:

  • Monday, April 13: 18:00 – 19:30
  • Tuesday, April 14: 15:45 – 18:00
  • Wednesday, April 15: 12:45 – 14:15
  • Thursday, April 16: 12:45 – 14:15
