The US Chamber of Commerce has informed its members via email about the Biden administration’s expected announcement of new export restrictions on China as early as this week, Reuters reported last Friday. The new regulations may add 200 Chinese chip companies to the Entity List, prohibiting US suppliers from shipping to those listed. Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Mao Ning responded on Monday saying that China firmly opposed the US abuse of export controls under the guise of national security, as it disrupts global supply chains and international trade order. China will take decisive measures to protect its companies’ legitimate rights, she said. [Icsmart, in Chinese]
