DJI announced on Monday that it will launch its new DJI Mini 5 Pro drone tomorrow. The lightweight flagship weighs under 250 grams, allowing it to fly in most regions worldwide without registration. The Mini 5 Pro is expected to feature a 1-inch CMOS sensor and support 4K video recording at 120 fps, according to sources. Its 225-degree gimbal rotation could enable lossless vertical shooting, while a LiDAR laser obstacle-avoidance system is said to provide omnidirectional night-time protection. Intelligent tracking speed is expected to be boosted to 15 m/s, sources said. For the first time, the drone will offer OcuSync 4 Plus transmission technology, with the US version reportedly offering a range of up to 20 kilometers. The Mini 5 Pro will come with two battery options: a 36-minute standard version and a 52-minute long-endurance version. The starting price is expected to be around RMB 6,691 ($939). [DJI, in Chinese]
