Some media outlets recently reported that Honor is in discussions with ByteDance regarding potential cooperation on a Doubao AI smartphone. According to the reports, before partnering with ZTE to launch the first-generation Doubao phone, ByteDance had initially approached Honor. However, Honor was said to have taken a cautious stance at the time, believing that such deep, system-level collaboration could carry certain risks. In response to the claims that it is currently in talks with ByteDance over a Doubao phone collaboration, Honor stated that, after internal verification, the reports are not accurate.
