XPeng CEO He Xiaopeng said on Wednesday he does not believe there is currently an AI bubble, adding that the technology remains at a very early stage and offers significant long-term opportunities. He said AI is likely to drive profound societal change and described its development as being in the “zero to 0.1” phase. If there is a bubble, He said, valuations in China appear relatively reasonable, while those in the US are somewhat elevated, noting that China focuses more on commercial applications while the US prioritizes frontier research. Commenting on the growing interest in robotics, He said many Chinese companies are developing robots by focusing on joints and control systems, while US firms tend to begin with AI models. He added that humanoid robots are likely to become a competitive arena for major players, while specialised robots will see opportunities across a wide range of industries. [TechWeb, in Chinese]
